The Glam Lamb farm wanted to sell online, but they were keen not to lose any of their identity in the process.

I worked closely with them and got to know them personally so that I could reflect their attitudes, traditional skills and products when creating the graphic design for the website. I even got the chance to try some of their lamb burgers, which you can try for yourself at Glam Lamb’s market stall that travels all round the country.

The ecommerce web development was then carried out by Ballyhoo Commerce and we too worked closely to make sure that the website worked and felt excatly as Glam Lamb required.

The Colour Mill, Meet Diglossia Font

Posted on May 21st, 2008 in News | No Comments »

Last week I introduced some typography to the site, both as part of the logo and as some headline / pull-quote type images, each giving a little insight into my thoughts and hopefully brightening the pages.

For the font, I chose Diglossia from Discourse Type. I set out to find a Welsh font, and it turns out that Diglossia was both created in Swansea and with the Welsh language in mind. It takes advantage of Open Type features to include ligatures (two letters joined to form one) from the Welsh alphabet.

Visually its very appealing to me too, it reminds me of the work of artist David Jones, whilst also having a modern, clean feel.
