Swansea based independent record shop Derricks Music recently updated their website.
I provided some graphics that were used by Ballyhoo Commerce, who built the site on a custom content management system with e-commerce functionality for selling gig tickets.
This poster/flyer was created for Swansea based promoters Straydog Music to advertise their upcoming music event. It was designed to work well when printed out at A6, A4 or A3 and to stand out in the busy shop windows and poster spots.
The gig takes place on Friday 28th November at Milkwood Jam, a live music venue based in Swansea City Centre. Milkwood Jam has been open a year this month, so happy birthday to them!

These badges were designed and printed to promote local club night Ice Cream Social. The illustrations and colours were inspired by the flyers and characters created by The Colour Mill over the past 12 months.
The latest flyers for Ice Cream Social were printed double-sided on 100% recylced pulpboard. This paper stock has a great rough finish, earthy smell and is perfect for printed projects which require that ‘organic’ feel.
Ice Cream Social is a local club night based in Swansea and is a side-project of mine.
I re-designed the website based on previous graphics and illustrations that had been created for the project.
Up until now the site was basic, so it needed a re-fresh to bring the design in line with the flyers and other promotional materials.

This illustration was designed for Ice Cream Social, a side-project of mine.

Its just about to be printed out on an 8ft by 4ft Vinyl banner, and will be used to decorate the DJ booth in Sin City.
The characters from the illustration are taken from the various flyers that I’ve designed for the night over the past year, the final effect should make it seem like the DJs are “sitting in the ice cream van”. Check back for a photo soon…
As promised, heres a photo of the banner in action:
These new club flyers were delivered last week, for in-house project: Ice Cream Social.
They were printed digitally on FSC 100% Recycled stock. The colour is vibrant and they feel slightly waxy and sturdy.
The digital printing process gives better value for money on short runs (eg. less than 500 copies) than litho printing, so you can print less and waste less!
Look out for the flyers dotted around Swansea’s pubs and shops over the coming month.
