Food Passion is a eating out and food shopping guide for Swansea and the surrounding areas (Gower, Mumbles, Llanelli).

It exists in web and printed form, and I’ve recently finished the graphic design for 2009’s edition. Its the second time I’ve designed the printed guide, which usually takes the form of a 48 page booklet.

I recommend picking one up, they’re very useful and an interesting read, plus this year they have vouchers in the back which can be exchanged for discounts and free gifts at various restaurants around Swansea. Look out for them across the city.

The Swansea Local Health Board commissioned me to produce a graphic design for their Health and Well Being Strategy 2008 to 2011.

The 200 page A4 document covers issues that effect the health of the population in Swansea and was translated into English and Welsh. The content was provided to The Colour Mill and I was required to present the information in a more efficient, accessible and attractive manner. Look out for copies at local surgeries, opticians and hospitals etc.

This Roll Fold (also knowns as Barrel Fold or Tri-Fold) brochure was designed for a local manufacturer to be used as a datasheet for one of their products.

This printing method is great when you need to pack loads of info (6 pages worth) into a small space (folds down to A4)!

This 12 page user manual was designed and created for Swansea based fire alarm manufacturer GLT Exports Ltd. As well as general information about the product it contained two technical diagrams that were illustrated by The Colour Mill.

DeMaskas required a range of stationery products to be designed for their new business.

Once the website was completed their new brand was used to create presentation folders, business cards, headed paper, compliments slips and a 4 page A4 brochure.

This data sheet is the first in a new series of designs for Swansea based fire alarm manufacturer Zeta Alarms.

Once complete the series will make up a 36 page catalogue of products. The designs are created so they can be distrubuted as single sheets, either printed out or over the web.

The Food Passion Brochure was one of my last design projects at Web Media Works (now renamed Square Tab).

After successfully designing the Food Passion website, we were awarded the contract to design the printed version for the Swansea food guide’s third year.

It involved designing the cover, restaurant listings, adverts, editorial and other custom page layouts and graphics. With a strict schedule and established image to stick to to, the project was intense and rewarding.
