The Colour Mill

The Glam Lamb farm wanted to sell online, but they were keen not to lose any of their identity in the process.

I worked closely with them and got to know them personally so that I could reflect their attitudes, traditional skills and products when creating the graphic design for the website. I even got the chance to try some of their lamb burgers, which you can try for yourself at Glam Lamb’s market stall that travels all round the country.

The ecommerce web development was then carried out by Ballyhoo Commerce and we too worked closely to make sure that the website worked and felt excatly as Glam Lamb required.

This illustration was designed for Ice Cream Social, a side-project of mine.

Its just about to be printed out on an 8ft by 4ft Vinyl banner, and will be used to decorate the DJ booth in Sin City.

The characters from the illustration are taken from the various flyers that I’ve designed for the night over the past year, the final effect should make it seem like the DJs are “sitting in the ice cream van”. Check back for a photo soon…

Sensibly Independent Dentistry have just launched a new website to promote their new affordable dentistry plan.

The Colour Mill was responsible for creating the graphic concept design for the website and previously I’d designed the brand identity, character illustrations and a series of data sheets for SID.

Envirowise have recently launched a website to promote their eco-friendly waste management business.

I was responsible for the graphic design of the website, creating various info-graphics/illustrations and an animated Flash slide show.

This double-sided A5 mail shot flyer was designed for e-commerce company FireAlarmsDirect to promote their new Simplicity Micro product range.

I’ve designed these “postcard style” flyers as part of promotional campaign to contact my existing and potential clients.

I plan to write a hand-written message in each, filling people in on my recent news and introducing my design services. They were printed on FSC certified 100% recycled pulpboard and the photo on the front is of Singleton Park, Swansea.

The Food Passion Brochure was one of my last design projects at Web Media Works (now renamed Square Tab).

After successfully designing the Food Passion website, we were awarded the contract to design the printed version for the Swansea food guide’s third year.

It involved designing the cover, restaurant listings, adverts, editorial and other custom page layouts and graphics. With a strict schedule and established image to stick to to, the project was intense and rewarding.

I designed this set of icons whist at Web Media Works. They illustrate the range of products and markets that Lancashire based Innova Solutions specialise in.

The designs are chunky and colourful, and are placed to help users navigate the different sections of the website.

I designed this recently for some friends to congratulate them on their new baby.

The stylised shapes combined with a simple colour scheme made a striking design that I was really pleased with.

To finish, it was printed out and mounted on some card, for that home-made, crafty feel.

These new club flyers were delivered last week, for in-house project: Ice Cream Social.

They were printed digitally on FSC 100% Recycled stock. The colour is vibrant and they feel slightly waxy and sturdy.

The digital printing process gives better value for money on short runs (eg. less than 500 copies) than litho printing, so you can print less and waste less!

Look out for the flyers dotted around Swansea’s pubs and shops over the coming month.
