Quality Design
I’m passionate about good design. Whether I’m creating a character illustration or a credit application form, I’m driven to make every design look great and make sense.
Location
The Colour Mill is located right by Singleton Park in sunny Swansea. It’s the perfect place to walk the dog or take a break from the screen.
Environment
Its important to me to run a green design business that tries to reduce its impact on the environment. This effort can then be passed on the businesses and clients who use my services.
So far, I’ve taken the following actions;
- The office is powered by hydro-electricity (via a green tariff from the energy supplier).
- The Colour Mill’s web hosting provider relies solely on renewable energy.
- Where possible, I use eco-friendly printers with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or ISO14001 certification.
- Paper, card, glass, and cans are recycled.
- Food waste is composted to feed the garden.
History
I graduated in 2004, with a BA(hons) degree in Digital Art (with Digital Animation) from TVU in London. Returning to Swansea, I was lucky enough to be offered a position at Web Media Works. After four years experience working as lead Graphic Designer and Co-Director at Web Media Works, it was time to part ways, so I left and setup on my own. And so, in May 2008, The Colour Mill was born.
